Designated court decides to frame charges against 49 persons, including Shiv Sena Supremo Bal Thackeray, BJP president L. K. Advani and former U.P. Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, in cases relating to Babri Masjid demolition in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992.

3/23/1942	Second World War was turning against the British and they needed the help of the Indians. So Prime Minister Churhill sent a delegation under Sir Stafford Cripps (Cripps Mission) to hold talks with the Indian leaders on the future of the subcontient in UK, which could not take place because of the non-cooperation movement and they left after a fortnight. They submitted their report in April 1942 which was rejected by the Congress and Muslim League.

7/14/1942	Britishers Quit India resolution was passed by Congress Working Committee. They demanded departure of British and agreed on passive resistance until India's independence. It was declared on 8th August, 1942 at August Kranti Maidan (Gowalia Tank).
8/28/1993	President's rule in J&K extended for another six months.
