Rebellion in East Pakistan (formerly Bengal). Ten million Bengalis flee to India. Indo-Pak border clashes escalate to war. India defeats West Pakistan. E. Pakistan becomes independent Bangladesh.

5/10/1981The first day and night cricket match of India was played at the flood-lit ground of the Wilson College Gymkhana (Bombay).
12/27/1992The Central government decides to acquire the disputed area in Ayodhya.
11/17/1932The Third Round Table Conference began in London. It was not attended by the Congress as the real Indian participation in the making of the constitution was negligible. Since Gandhi was in prison because of his civil disobedience movement he could not attend it either. This conference ended on 24th November 1932 without achieving anything.
