Historical Event on 7/23/1993
Indian National Satellite (INSAT-2B), second satellite in the INSAT-2 series, was launched. This is more operational multi-purpose communication and enhanced meteorology satellite. It is still in service. It was aunched by European Ariane launch vehicle.

This carried two scientific payload, a Gamma Ray Burst (GRB) experiment and a Retarding Potential Analyser (RPA). It is still in service. |
