11/21/1994Dr. Malcom Adiseshiah, 84, noted economist and educationist, died.
1/22/1901Queen Victoria (1819-1901) passed away at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, South England, after a brief illness. She had been throned for almost 64 years, which is the longest reign in British history. She had given her name to an age ""Victorian Britain"".
6/6/1903Hiralal Sen shot the first Indian Advertisment sequences for Jabakusum (hair tonic) and Edward's Tonic.
1/8/1884Keshav Chunder Sen, nationalist leader of Bengal, social worker and good orator of Brahma Samaj, passed away at his home in Lily Cottage, Calcutta. He was one of the first Indians to sow the seeds of secularism in our country. He strongly believed that education was the basic necessity to change the society.
